Summer CALM Grade 9’s

Due to very high interest in the Summer CALM program, we have decided to offer 3 more courses this summer using our satellite facility in Canmore, Alberta. This program will follow a similar program to the Summer CALM program run at the Outdoor Learning Centre, but the schedule and timing of activities will differ. We will send the final schedule for this course in June with our parent communication.

Please note: This course is NOT run from the Outdoor Learning Centre. This course is located in Canmore, Alberta and will be run out of our bunk houses located at Elizabeth Rummel School.

Please register through CB-eLearn.

Summer CALM (Canmore Location) Course Dates (these additional courses are being offered):

  • July 2-6, 2024
  • July 8-12, 2024
  • August 5-9, 2024

Y-Mind Teen

Y-Mind Teen is a free early intervention support for young people experiencing mild-moderate stress and anxiety through the YMCA for teens 13-18. Please see the link here for more details and to register.

Grade 9 Farewell Celebration

This is a reminder that the Grade 9 Farewell is next month. Please note:

Date: Wednesday, June 26th

Time: 12:30-2:00 pm in the Main Gym

BBQ: 2:00-3:00 pm on the compound for Grade 9s and immediate family

Dance: 3:00-4:30 pm in the Main Gym for Grade 9 students

Please note, the Farewell Ceremony on June 26th is NOT meant to be a highly formal event. We do not encourage families to invest in limousines, overly expensive attire, etc. The afternoon will consist of a face to face ceremony for students and their families followed by a BBQ, and then a dance for students.

Grade 9 Field Trips

Caregivers are requested to please complete forms for Calaway Park and to make payment for both Calaway Park and Bowling. In addition, we are seeking volunteer support for this trip. If you are able to support this trip and have your CBE volunteer clearance in place, please email Simon Tetreault (srtetreault@cbe.ab.ca).
