A Farewell Message
Today was Mr. Keuben’s last day with students and it proved to be another busy, beautiful day of learning. I have only had the opportunity to work with Mr. Keuben since last fall, but in that time, I have come to appreciate so much of what he brings to the work: kindness, a humble work ethic, and a constant focus on student well-being.
In talking with students about what they will take away from their work with Mr. Keuben, they mentioned his kindness and the thoughtfulness he brought, that he never hesitated to jump in on a game in PE, and his dancing in the hallways to morning music. But the biggest take-away was his effort to say good morning to all students as they entered the building. This is proof of his constant effort to ensure that each student is known as a learner.
It takes all stripes to be a Tiger, Mr. Keuben, and once you’re a Tiger you’re always a Tiger!
Spectators Code of Conduct
We are excited to welcome spectators to our upcoming volleyball games. As a reminder, students may attend the first game without parent supervision. Later games, students may attend if they are under direct supervision from an adult. Student and parent spectators at any games are expected to:
- Treat all participants with respect.
- Discourage any dishonest or unsportsmanlike conduct.
- Be gracious in victory and accept defeat with dignity.
- Not engage in disrespectful conduct including profanity, obscene gestures, offensive remarks, trash talking, taunting, boastful celebrations or other actions that demean individuals or the sport.
- Treat game officials with respect.
- Let the coaches coach.
- Display respect for all other spectators.
- Exercise self-control.
Yearbook photos
If any parents/guardians took photos of the Girls Basketball team or the Girls Soccer team, we would love to feature the photos in this year’s yearbook! Please send any photos you have to Natasha Andrews NaAndrews@cbe.ab.ca.
High School Transitions: A Message from E.P. Scarlett
Student Services at Dr. E.P Scarlett is pleased to begin the Course Selection Process for the 2025-26 School year. Welcome, incoming Lancers! Please see the following information in preparation for this exciting transition period.
- Student Services has been working with many of our feeder schools to support students with in-person visits. We visited many schools in November to focus on our school culture and extra-curricular opportunities and returned in January to discuss the course selection process. A video of the January presentation can be found here.
- The course selection process occurs online. Course selection is not first come first served, so please be assured that you have time to make thoughtful selections for options and core classes. The form – 2025-26 Course Selection Form – French Immersion – will be open from January 23 – February 23.
- Please view our Scarlett Viewbook for information on option classes and Advanced Placement courses.
