Merci Mme Huber
The David Thompson School community is so grateful for the support of Micheline Huber over the past four weeks. We'd like to send her fair winds and safe travels as she heads back into retirement.
Sports Spectators
During the ongoing CUPE strike, volleyball games will continue as scheduled, but spectators at athletic events will be limited to parents/guardians of athletes directly involved in the event, and access will be limited to the gymnasium.
Additionally, there will be absolutely no food or drinks allowed in the gymnasium—yes, this even includes coffee. We understand this may not be ideal; however, our priority is to be able to run athletics for the students while ensuring our facilities stay ready for student learning.
Thanks, and if you have any questions, please contact the school office.
Semaine de la francophonie
The École David Thompson School semaine de la francophonie is coming up March 3-7 and will include Métis jigging, delicious crêpes, a cabane à sucre and many activities to celebrate French language and culture around the world. We can’t wait to celebrate together! Many thanks to School Council for their generous support of this event!
Mme Kim is seeking volunteers for March 5th to support with set up and clean up of our event with Crêpe Delicious. If you’re willing to support with all or part of this day, please email kncollins@cbe.ab.ca
All students have until February 28th to order their crêpe via Healthy Hunger. Students who have ordered a Crêpe will get to eat it in the Atrium during their designated time on March 5th. There are a number of delicious and tantalizing options available!
