Hello Tiger Families!

As we ease back into our regular routines, we want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude for all you’ve done to support your learners during our recent challenges and all you’ve done to get our students to school this week in such a good way. We’ve had a great week, and we saw so much shared joy and the laughter today especially, our strong sense of community all remind us how fortunate we are to be part of this school family.

Returning to our everyday rhythm is a chance to carry that gratitude into the small things: shared meals, quick check-ins, and quiet moments that remind us how lucky we are to have one another.

Let’s move forward with thankful hearts, reconnecting not just with our schedules, but with each other. Here’s to a smooth transition and to keeping our family connection strong in every season!

Warmly,

The David Thompson School Team

Switch Witch Candy Drive – Give Back This Halloween!

DTS is celebrating the 10th Annual Switch Witch Fundraiser in support of NICU Family Care, Made by Momma, and The Happy Birthday Project. On Monday, November 3 and Tuesday, November 4, students are invited to donate some of their Halloween candy to help create birthday loot bags for children living in shelters or difficult circumstances. Drop off candy with Mme Kim (Room 40), Mme Poirier (Room 44), or Ms. Shawna (Office).Grade 6 students will help sort the candy as part of their Math and Social Studies learning. Your kindness helps bring smiles to children all year round — thank you for supporting this sweet cause!

Lest We Forget

Next Friday, November 7th will be our Remembrance Day assemblies. If your child is in grades 5 to 7, we will start at 09h00 in the Gymnasium, and the second assembly for the grades 8 and 9 will start at 10h30. You are all welcome to join us for that very important ceremony to remember the sacrifices of Canadian sailors, airmen, air women, soldiers, and all the current serving members.  We ask students that are in the cadets, scouts or girl guides to wear their uniform for that morning. If you are a public servant in uniform, feel free to wear it during that day. We have poppies at school and available with a donation to the Canadian Legion. Cash only!

Lest We Forget!
