Hello Tiger Families!
Thank you for a busy and wonderful week at David Thompson. Between the Grade 5 film field trip, the Pie a Teacher in the Face fundraiser, Acadia buddy visits, Picture Day, and Volleyball Finals, DTS was filled with energy and connection.
Our volleyball season was one to remember and was filled with teamwork and exciting moments. Every team made the playoffs, which speaks to the growth and heart our Tigers showed all season long. A special congratulations to our Senior Girls, who were Champions at the Scarlett Feeder School Tournament and closed out the year as Divisional Champions. What a memorable season for that team.
We are so grateful for the many experiences that strengthen student engagement and support personal growth and to all the parents, staff and volunteers who show up for our students every single day. This week was Substitute Appreciation Week, and we took a moment to recognize the incredible guests who keep our school running smoothly and our students supported with a sweet treat.
As spring inches closer, the longer days bring more opportunities for connection, learning and time outside. Yesterday's fresh snow, along with warmer weather, was a lovely reminder that winter still has a little left to give before it slips away. With the cross-country ski trip on the horizon, there is still time for our students to make the most of the season. Nature offers valuable opportunities to learn, explore, and recharge, and I hope everyone has a chance to get outside this weekend.
We are looking forward to another great week of learning before Spring Break and of course, connecting with families during conferences. Reminder 1) ask your child to check the lost and found, as any unclaimed items will be donated before the break and 2) next week is Spirit Week, so we hope students will join in the fun by dressing up and participating.
Bon week-end à tous!
Warmly,
The David Thompson School Team
